Annotation

An individual-particle kinetic analysis of ion injection into the process of diffusive shock acceleration (DSA) is performed within a hybrid simulation of interstellar plasma for the case of two-species medium. It appears that only those ions, which are reflected from the shock front during their first interaction with it, are further injected into the efficient DSA.
