Master's thesis is devoted to the study of the Nernst-Ettinghausen coefficients in calcium-containing samples of bismuth-based high-temperature superconductors in the normal state. In the first part we present the review describing the basic properties of superconductors, thermo-magnetic phenomena, Nernst-Ettinghausen effect in semiconductors and HTS-materials, the narrow-band model, and the experimental data on the Nernst-Ettinghausen coefficient in yttrium-based HTSC. In the second part the experimental methodic, as well as the method of the experimental data analysis are presented. The third part presents the results of the experimental study of the temperature dependences of the Nernst-Ettinghausen coefficient in Bi2Sr2Ca1-xYxCu2Oy(Bi-2212) samples with a varying level of yttriumdoping, as well as the joint quantitative analysis of the behavior of the Nernst-Ettinghausen coefficient and thermopower in the framework of the narrow band model. Data on the charge-carrier mobility and the degree of the dispersion law asymmetry in the investigated samples are obtained and discussed.
