В данной работе изложены основные способы культурной адаптации лексики при локализации компьютерных видеоигр с английского языка на русский. Даны определения понятий локализация, перевод, адаптация, безэквивалентная лексика и рассмотрены точки зрения учёных касательно данных терминов. Проведён сравнительный и количественный анализ английской и русской безэквивалентной лексики на примере популярных видеоигр Deus Ex: mankind divided, Tomb Rider, а также Far cry 4 и Far cry 5.
In the given work outlined the main ways of cultural adaptation of non-equivalent vocabulary in the localization’s process of computer video games from English into Russian. The definition of the concepts of localization, translation, adaptation and non-equivalent vocabulary are given and considered points of view of scientists regarding these terms are stated. A comparative and quantitative analysis of English and Russian non-equivalent vocabulary was carried out using the example of the popular video games, such as Deus Ex: mankind divided, Tomb Rider, Far cry 4 and Far cry 5.
