Целью данной работы является изучение использования субтандартной лексики в периодических изданиях, рассматриваются различия между сленгом и жаргонизмами. Выделяются основные лексико-стилистические особенности периодических изданий. Проводится исследование особенностей перевода сленга и жаргонизмов в современных англоязычных периодических изданиях, на примере изданий “The Economist”,“The New York Daily News” и “The Guardian”. Результаты данного исследования могут быть использованы для составления глоссария для студентов специальных курсов.
The purpose of this article is to study the use of sub-standard vocabulary in periodicals, the differences between slang and jargon. The main lexical and stylistic features of periodicals are distinguished. A study of the features of the translation of slang and jargon in modern English-language periodicals, on the example of " The Economist”, “The Guardian” and “The New York Daily News”.The results of this study can be used to compile a Glossary for students of special courses.
