Данная работа посвящена русско-шведской войне 1808–1809 гг. и ее отражению в российской периодической печати. В работе были рассмотрены предпосылки возникновения войны, основные этапы боевых действий между шведской и русской армиями и восстания финского населения против оккупации русских в данный период, победа России над Швецией, а также процесс заключения Фридрихсгамского мирного договора и его условия. Было описано развитие российской периодической печати на примере главной российской ежедневной общественно-политической газеты «Санкт-Петербургские ведомости», на основе которой был проведен анализ событий войны 1808–1809 гг.

This paper is devoted to the Russian-Swedish war 1808–1809 and its reflection in the Russian periodicals. The prerequisites for the outbreak of war, the main stages of hostilities between the Swedish and Russian armies and the uprising of the Finnish population against the occupation of the Russians at this period, Russia's victory over Sweden, as well as the process of conclusion of the Peace Treaty of Fredrikshamn and its conditions have been considered in the paper. The development of the Russian’s periodicals was described taking as the example the main Russian daily socio-political newspaper Sankt-Peterburgskie Vedomosti, on the basis of which an analysis of the events of the war of 1808–1809 was carried out.
