The given work is devoted to the study of the excited FAD states dynamics in water-methanol solutions under excitation by picosecond laser pulses and to the registration of time-resolved polarized fluorescence. It determines the fluorescence parameters, such as decay times, correlation time and anisotropy, and analyzes their dependence on excitation conditions and on the viscosity and polarity of the solution. The fluorescence spectra of FAD molecule was measured, as well as the decay of their polarized fluorescence upon single-photon excitation in the wavelength range of 510-570 nm in solutions of various viscosities and polarity was studied. The study of polarized fluorescence decay is based on the independent measurement of two orthogonal polarization components of the molecule fluorescence with high temporal resolution using a time-correlated single photon counting system (TCSPC). As a result of the measurements, the FAD fluorescence spectra were obtained, as well as a set of polarized fluorescence decay curves, the analysis of which made it possible to identify various mechanisms of the solvent influence on the kinetic fluorescence parameters of the studied molecules.
