In the course of work, a 500/220 kV power supply system was designed. At the first stage of the work, the main equipment of the designed power supply system was selected and checked: transformers, autotransformers, and sections of power lines. At the second stage, the steady-state mode of operation of the electric power system was calculated in two ways: analytically and using the “RastrWin” software package. In the RastrWin software package, the minimum load mode was also calculated. At the third stage, currents and voltages at a given point were calculated for a two-phase short circuit to ground. Based on the calculation results, vector diagrams are constructed. In the fourth and final stage, the dynamic stability of the designed power supply system was studied in the Dymola software package. The increase of the limiting time for disconnecting short-circuit currents was made by using equipment for regulating the turbine power.
