Annotation
The work was made analytically. Literature sources that describe the motion of charged particles in classical and modified rf-quadrupoles were analyzed. The analysis was carried out by mathematical modeling using the Wolfram Mathematica software, which provides the ability to solve systems of differential equations, as well as the ability to graphically display the results. As a result, the trajectories of charged particles in classical and modified rf quadrupoles were analyzed. A computer model has been developed that allows us to construct diagrams of stability zones and particle trajectories for the selected conditions. Based on the research, conclusions are made about the advantages and disadvantages of the modified rf quadrupole over the classical one.
