The subject of the graduate qualification work is "Finite element modeling and investigation of the stress-strain state of a composite high-pressure cylinder". This work is devoted to studying of the strength of a composite cylinder consisting of an aluminum liner, an adhesive layer of epoxy resin and a carbon fiber winding. The research set the following goals: 1. Studying of approaches of modeling unidirectional and multilayer composite materials. 2. Creation and validation of a numerical model of a composite cylinder using the ANSYS Composite PrePost module in ANSYS Workbench. 3. The study of the dependence of the factor of safety in various parts of the cylinder on the direction of carbon fiber winding. 4. Determination of the optimal number of layers of the composite winding to meet a given safety margin and minimizing cylinder weight. Composite cylinder modeling was carried out at meso-scale modelling framework for describing composite structures. A model of a composite high-pressure cylinder was obtained, taking into account the different directions of winding carbon fiber. In this case, the fibers themselves were not modeled, but were replaced by layers with an orientation corresponding to the direction of winding of the fiber. The process of manufacturing composite high-pressure cylinders was analyzed. The resulting numerical model takes into account technological aspects of production, such as the restriction on the angle of winding of the fiber, the heterogeneity of the thickness of the liner, the presence of an adhesive layer. Proposed method for determining the optimal angle of fiber winding takes into account the above limitations.
