Данная работа посвящена изучению явления политическая корректность. С помощью метода анализа словарных дефиниций рассмотрены различные определения понятия политическая корректность. Проведен сравнительный анализ подходов к изучению явления. Политкорректность проанализирована в контексте социальной практики США. Установлено, что политическая корректность связана с идеологиями мультикультурализма, феминизма, процессами позитивной и обратной дискриминации, со стратегией введения речевых кодов. Выявлено, что на языковом уровне явление политкорректности выразилось в движении альтернативной номинации. Замене подвергаются лексические единицы, выражающие понятие гендер. Выявлено, что для английского языка характерен процесс нейтрализации гендера. Формирование гендерно-нейтрального языка происходит за счет замены гендерно маркированных морфем, гендерных маркеров − показателей маскулинности и фемининности − на нейтральные лексемы. Установлено, что для русского языка характерен процесс спецификации гендера. На лексическом уровне основным способом выражения гендера является использование феминитивов. Феминитивы образуются с помощью продуктивных словообразовательных суффиксов. Сделан вывод о том, что для русского языка характерно использование гендерных маркеров. Выработаны рекомендации по переводу политически корректных языковых единиц при переводе с английского языка на русский. Проанализированы визуальные ресурсы, использующиеся для формирования гендерно-нейтрального языка.

This graduate qualification work is devoted to political correctness studies. It is found that modern social practice is perceived through analysis of politically correct linguistic units. Due to the dictionary definition method, different definitions of political correctness were considered. The comparative analysis of politically correct concepts was realized. The phenomenon of political correctness was analyzed in terms of American social practice. It was found that political correctness has connections with the concepts of multiculturalism and feminism, the processes of reverse and positive discrimination, and implementation of speech codes. It was found out that politically incorrect linguistic units are substituted to alternative words and expressions. Particularly, the words expressing the concept of gender are substituted. In this graduate qualification work English and Russian gender-specific lexis is structured. It was found out that the English language is characterized by the gender-neutralization process. Gender-neutral language is formed via substitution of gender-specific lexis that expresses masculinity and femininity concepts to gender-neutral words and expressions. It was found out that the Russian language is characterized by the gender-specification process. On the linguistic level the main way of expressing gender consists in the formation of feminine titles. Feminine gender-specific job titles are formed via word formative suffixes. It was concluded that the Russian language is characterized by the use of gender markers. It was found out that on the syntactic level gender is expressed via words ending. Recommendations on translation of politically correct language units from the English language into the Russian language have been developed. Visual resources used to form gender-neutral language were analyzed.
