Данная работа посвящена исследованию перевода современных реалий в аспекте межъязыковой и межкультурной коммуникации, в частности в статьях британских и американских средств массовой информации. Задачи, которые решались в ходе исследования: 1) Ознакомление с основами перевода современных реалий. 2) Изучение особенностей и специфических характеристик перевода материалов британских и американских СМИ на русский язык. 3) Изучение способов перевода современных реалий в аспекте межъязыковой и межкультурной коммуникации. 4) Определение специфики перевода реалий в материалах британских и американских СМИ. 5) Выполнение переводческого анализа выбранных фрагментов из материалов британских и американских СМИ и рассмотрение выявленных особенностей. В исследовании были изучены теоретические вопросы перевода реалий в аспекте межъязыковой и межкультурной коммуникации. Был подробно рассмотрен вопрос работы переводчика при переводе иноязычных средств массовой информации на русский язык и трудности, с которыми он сталкивается при переводе реалий. Были рассмотрены различные подходы к определению термина «реалия» и классификации множества исследователей. В результате был проведен анализ фрагментов статей британских (The Guardian) и американских (CNN) средств массовой информации с тем, чтобы выявить особенности употребления в них реалий и перевода этих реалий на русский язык. Были сделаны выводы и рекомендации по работе с переводом реалий в статьях средств массовой информации.

This work is devoted to the study of the translation of modern culture specific vocabulary in the aspect of inter-lingual and intercultural communication, in particular in the articles of the British and American media. The tasks that were solved during the research: 1) Getting acquainted with the basics of translation of modern culture specific vocabulary. 2) Studying the features and specific characteristics of the translation of British and American media into Russian. 3) Studying ways of translating modern culture specific vocabulary in the aspect of inter-lingual and intercultural communication. 4) Determination of the specifics of translation of culture specific vocabulary in the materials of British and American media. 5) Performing a translation analysis of selected fragments from the British and American media and consideration of the identified features. The theoretical issues of culture specific vocabulary translation in the aspect of inter-lingual and intercultural communication were studied in the paper. The specifics of the translator's work when translating foreign-language media into Russian and the difficulties he encounters in the translation of culture specific vocabulary were considered in detail. Different approaches to the definition of the term «culture specific vocabulary» and the classification of many researchers were considered. As a result, we analyzed the fragments of British (The Guardian) and American (CNN) media articles in order to reveal the peculiarities of reality usage and translation of these realities into Russian. Conclusions and recommendations were made on the work with the translation of culture specific vocabulary in the articles of the media.
