In the paper “Characteristics of a photonic integrated microcircuit based on a Mach-Zehnder interferometer with thermo-optical switching”, the main characteristics of the microcircuit are investigated. Modeling of the main units of a photonic integrated circuit associated with radiation losses is performed. The structure of this work: introductory part, three main chapters, final part. In the introductory part, the relevance of the selected topic is substantiated. In the first chapter, a review of the literature on various optical switches, the materials on which they are made, and also the principles of the thermo-optical effect are discussed. The second chapter describes the experimental studies carried out to study the prototype PIS. The third chapter is devoted to modeling the main PIS nodes.
