The purpose of the work is to develop the design of spindle support units based on hydrostatic supports for the horizontal boring machine 2623PF4. To achieve this goal, methods from the resistance of materials and the theory of automatic control (TAU) were used, because hydrostatic supports can be represented as automatic control systems (SAR). In this paper, the modernization of the spindle assembly supports with hydrostatic bearings is demonstrated. General requirements for spindle supports are given, various types of supports are considered, and a comparative analysis is given. Methods of calculation of hydrostatic bearings (static and dynamic calculations) are studied, mathematical models for calculation of bearings are developed. The possibilities of improving bearings with the help of hydro-correction are presented. As a result, prototypes of a hydrostatic bearing and a hydro-corrector were developed, and geometric dimensions were determined.
