The subject matter of the graduate qualification work: "Research of firefly algorithm for solving optimization problems". The graduate qualification work of the bachelor is devoted to the research of methods of optimization of swarm intelligence, inspired by wildlife and the behavior of animals in it. The analysis of the firefly optimization algorithm used in the works of foreign scientists to solve a variety of practical problems, both in its basic form and with some modifications. The purpose of the work is to identify the effectiveness of the chosen algorithm. In the course of the work, it was implemented in the Matlab programming language and tested on four selected test functions (Ackley, Rastrigin, Matyas, Peaks). Chapter 1 briefly discusses swarm population algorithms, focuses on the selected FA algorithm, and describes the behavior of firefly individuals in the real world. Chapter 2 describes in detail the running of the algorithm on each test function, the analysis of the results obtained, and the conclusions drawn from this. Chapter 3 summarizes the effectiveness of solving optimization problems and possible future developments.
