The subject of the graduate qualification work is “An interactive model to predict happiness index”. The World Happiness Index is a comprehensive survey tool that evaluates happiness, well-being, and aspects of sustainability and resilience. The United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network provides the World Happiness Report annually. In the present study, the goal is to provide a more comprehensive formulation for predicting a society's level of happiness according to the database provided annually by the United Nations in its World Happiness Report. The present work focuses on developing a formula to calculate happiness index using non-linear regression model. The findings of this thesis can be use by researchers, community organizers and policy makers seeking to understand and enhance individual happiness, community well-being, social justice, economic equality, and environmental sustainability. Since the formulation is extracted by considering yearly values of different factor, the obtained formulation for happiness index would be unique year by year.In contrast with the United Nations, which uses a linear regression model to find the correlation between different factors, in this study a multiplicative model is employed in a (non-linear) regression to see how well it fits the survey data. This is carried out using the IBM SPSS software. The results of present study demonstrates that, for the same value of coefficients of determination (R-squared), the prediction of happiness in future using the interactive model significantly is more accurate than multiple linear regression model.
