This master thesis undertakes a comprehensive comparative analysis of regulation documents in the field of arrangement and operation of localizing safety systems for Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs). The localizing safety system is a critical component of the overall safety system in NPPs, and its proper arrangement and operation are essential for preventing radioactive releases in the event of an accident. This master thesis conducts a comparative analysis of regulation documents in the field of arrangement and operation of localizing safety systems for nuclear power plants in the United States, Russian Federation, and South Korea. The objective is to identify similarities and differences in regulatory approaches among these countries and provide recommendations for enhancing the safety of localizing safety systems in NPPs. Regulatory documents were collected, reviewed, and analyzed to identify differences, similarities, and areas that may need improvement. This master thesis contributes to the understanding of regulatory approaches in the field of arrangement and operation of localizing safety systems for nuclear power plants in the United States, Russian Federation, and South Korea. The findings of this research can inform decision-making processes, policy development, and international cooperation efforts to improve the safety of nuclear power plants worldwide.
