The subject of the graduate qualification work is “Analysis of reduction methods Degradation photovoltaic panel converters solar electric stations in Hong Kong (China) and St. Petersburg (RF)”. The given work is devoted to identify the main factors affecting the increased degradation rate of solar panels in Hong Kong and St. Petersburg. The causes of solar panel degradation were analysed and the main factors affecting the degradation rate of solar panels in the Hong Kong and St Petersburg regions were identified and solutions offered. The study shows that the main cause of degradation affecting PV systems in Hong Kong is the hot and humid environment, which can be mitigated by using alternative materials to EVA or lead-free pastes. In St Petersburg,The main causes of panel degradation are frost, snow and ice. The solution is to remove it during the frost.
