Seawater desalination is a costly and energy intensive process that is harmful to the environment if it is based on the combustion of fossil fuels. Nuclear energy, as the "cleanest" in comparison with other energy sources, is an alternative energy resource of desalination technologies, accessible and relatively inexpensive, and is attracting more and more attention. The purpose of the dissertation is to conduct a technical and economic analysis of various seawater desalination technologies at the second unit of the Bushehr NPP. The modeling method was used in the work. In this work, when modeling various desalination plants in combination with the Bushehr NPP, the DE-TOP package was used to determine the characteristics of the desalination system and the developed program for the thermo-economic evaluation of hybrid desalination schemes. A review of the state and prospects of providing water resources in Iran shows that the creation of large-scale desalination plants in combination with nuclear power plants plays a major role in the economic development and security of the country.
