The aim of the study is to develop a methodology for choosing a method for decommissioning an offshore oil platform and a method for assessing the impact on the environment of an offshore platform. The study was carried out on the basis of the life cycle of a complex technical complex - offshore oil platforms. Research subject: comparative analysis of the final stages of the life cycle of offshore oil operations. General scientific research methods were used: content and comparative analysis, analogy method, as well as specific research methods: processing of expert assessments, PERT-networks and GERT-networks. The main results of the study: - a deterministic graph of the life cycle stages of an offshore oil platform is proposed; - a methodology for the procedure for selecting the platform exit from operation was developed; - developed a methodology for assessing the impact of an offshore oil platform on the environment; - suggested practical recommendations. The application of the work results is possible in the activities of oil producing companies to assess the impact on the environment, as well as to select a more environmentally friendly platform decommissioning. The scientific novelty of the research is the presentation of the stages of the life of an offshore oil platform in the form of a graph, a methodology for the platform decommissioning procedure, a methodology for assessing the impact of an offshore oil platform on the environment.
