Объект исследования - особенности перевода топонимов. Предмет исследования - особенности перевода топонимов Санкт-Петербурга и Ленинградской области. Целью исследования является выявление наиболее оптимальных способов перевода топонимов. Для достижения поставленных целей использовались следующие методы исследования: 1) Теоретические методы: анализ литературы по проблеме исследования, обобщение, классификация и др.; 2) Практические методы: наблюдение, сравнение, описание и др.

The final graduation work is devoted to the common linguistic problem of translation peculiarities of toponyms. As examples of toponyms in this work we used toponyms of St Petersburg and the Leningrad region. The object of the final graduation work is the translation peculiarities of toponyms. The subject of the research istranslation peculiarities of toponyms of St Petersburg and the Leningrad region.The aim of our work is the identification of the most optimal methods in translation of toponyms.In the final graduation work were used several methods of research: 1)Theoretical methods: literature analysis, synthesis of information, classification etc. 2)Practical methods: observation process, description, comparative analysis etc.
