В работе выявляются особенности отношения англоязычных коммуникантов к директивным речевым актам, подчеркивается их культурологическое своеобразие, а также выделяются конкретные коммуникативные единицы и речевые формулы, характерные для речевого акта запрета в английском языке. Основными методами исследования являются анализ научной литературы, изучение и обобщение отечественного и зарубежного опыта. Основными материалами исследования послужили коммуникативные ситуации из текстов художественных произведений, песен, кинофильмов, а также различные сведения из официальных интернет-источников. Анализ научной литературы и исследуемых материалов позволил расположить способы выражения запрещения представителями англоговорящей культуры в порядке усиления, от наиболее косвенных к наиболее категоричным.
The work identifies features of the relation of English communicants to the directive speech acts, highlights the uniqueness of their culture, and distinguishes specific communication units and speech formulas, typical for a speech act of prohibition in English. The main methods of research are the analysis of scientific literature, study and generalization of domestic and foreign experience. The basic materials of the research are communicative situations in English literature, songs, movies, as well as a variety of information from official online sources. The analysis of scientific literature and study materials allowed to arrange ways of expressing prohibition in English-speaking culture in in ascending order, from the most indirect and neutral to the most definitive.
