Первая глава работы «Проблема самоидентификации в современной европейской прозе» раскрывает понятие метарефлексии в западноевропейском искусстве и проблему самоопределения в творчестве Дэниела Киза. Вторая глава посвящена творчеству писателя и историиромана, а также проблеме самоидентификации в произведениях. Целью исследования является: раскрыть идею самопознания в романе.

The first chapter, under the title «The problem of self-identification in modern European prose» opens up a concept of metareflection in Western European literature and the problem of self-determination in oeuvre of Daniel Keyes. The second chapter dedicates to the oeuvre of the writer and history of a novel, and also the problem of self-identification in different works. The aim of the study is to open up an idea of self-knowledge in the novel.
