The goal of the master's thesis is a detailed research of the existing position of renewable energy in the world’s and Russian energy balance and make projects of renewable energy for Peter the Great Saint Petersburg Polytechnical University. The main attention of the thesis is devoted to experience gained in the field of energy practice for students and priority problems of humanity, such as environmental pollution, provision of energy resources and global warming. Implementation of different sources of renewable energy, devices for energy efficiency and promotion of sustainable life will be as the living laboratory for research, education, and operations. The review of existent and projected Green Campuses around the world and assessed the potential of the project in the weather conditions of Saint Petersburg. The modern renewable energy facilities for Polytechnic University Campus were developed.
