The need to quickly obtain and process information about the characteristics of the beam injected into the plasma of a tokamak is an important problem for experiments with neutral injection into a plasma discharge, since the quality of focusing of the injected beam directly affects the related processes occurring in the plasma. To obtain information about the power profile of a beam of high-energy particles, diagnostics based on secondary emission probes are used. The electrons knocked out by the beam particles from the surface of the probes are captured by the collector; as a result, a set of 22 probe signals makes it possible, after processing, to obtain beam power distribution profiles. The purpose of the work was to modernize the outdated system for collecting and transmitting data from the probes. Requirements for the new equipment were developed, on the basis of which the necessary equipment was selected and manufactured, it was installed and put into operation. The first results obtained with the modernized diagnostics confirmed the good focusing of the beam of injected atoms. The data on the beam power profile and the position of its axis will be used to model the processes occurring in the tokamak plasma during its additional corpuscular heating.
