Культурные обмены между государствами способствуют укреплению взаимопонимания, а, в итоге, региональной и международной стабильности, что является крайне важным в настоящий период развития международных отношений.  Целью исследования является выявление основных направлений взаимодействия России и Туркменистана в культурной сфере в XXI веке. Объектом исследования выступает международное взаимодействие в сфере культуры. Предметом исследования является сотрудничество Туркменистана и России в сфере культуры. В качестве методов исследования применялись общенаучные методы исследования: исторический и сравнительный анализ, метод наблюдения. Основные результаты исследования: 1. Проведен комплексный анализ истории культуры Туркменистана; 2. Проанализировано сотрудничество Туркменистана и России в сфере культуры. 3. Выявлены перспективы развития сотрудничества Туркменистана и России в сфере культуры.

Cultural exchanges between states contribute to the strengthening of mutual understanding, and, as a result, regional and international stability, which is extremely important in the current period of development of international relations. The purpose of the study is to identify the main areas of interaction between Russia and Turkmenistan in the cultural sphere in the 21st century. The object of the research is international interaction in the field of culture.  The subject of the study is the cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia in the field of culture. General scientific research methods were used as research methods: historical and comparative analysis, observation method. The main results of the study: 1. A comprehensive analysis of the cultural history of Turkmenistan was carried out; 2. The cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia in the field of culture is analyzed. 3. Prospects for the development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia in the field of culture have been identified.
