Данная работа представляет комплексный анализ социокультурных аспектов, отражающих значение шведского языка в общественной жизни Финляндии на современном этапе. Задачи, которые решались в ходе исследования: 1. Изучение общих сведений о шведском языке в Финляндии; 2. Выявление специфики бытования шведского языка в современной Финляндии; 3. Оценка перспектив развития шведского языка в Финляндии. Посредством изучения событий и процессов, затрагивающих шведоязычное население Финляндии, было составлено полное представление о существующих особенностях и проблемах бытования шведского языка в Финляндии на современном этапе. В ходе работы были проанализированы научные статьи, монографии, нормативные документы Финляндии, тематические интернет-ресурсы, касающиеся использования шведского языка в социальной среде в Финляндии. Было выявлено, что несмотря на сократившееся количество шведоговорящих, рост правых настроений и правительственные инициативы, направленные на ослабление положения второго официального языка Финляндии, шведский язык остаётся жизнеспособным в общественной жизни страны и вызывает интерес у финноязычных соотечественников. Сохранение шведского языка в Финляндии происходит во многом благодаря осознанной деятельности представителей шведоязычного языкового сообщества страны.

This work presents a comprehensive analysis of socio-cultural aspects that reflect the importance of the Swedish language in public life in Finland at the present stage. The research sets the following goals: 1. Studying general information about the Swedish language in Finland; 2. Identification of the specifics of the existence of the Swedish language in modern Finland; 3. Assessment of the development prospects of the Swedish language in Finland. Through the study of the events and processes affecting the Swedish-speaking population of Finland, a complete picture of the existing features and problems of the existence of the Swedish language in Finland at the present stage has been complied. In the course of the work, scientific articles, monographs, normative documents of Finland, thematic Internet resources concerning the use of the Swedish language in the social environment in Finland were analyzed. It was revealed that despite the reduced number of Swedish speakers, the growth of right-wing sentiments and government initiatives aimed at weakening the position of the second official language of Finland, the Swedish language remains viable in the public life of the country and is of interest to Finnish-speaking compatriots. The preservation of the Swedish language in Finland is largely due to the conscious activity of representatives of the Swedish-speaking linguistic community of the country.
