Physics of the processes occurring in ordinary superconductors (the Meissner effect, the formation of vortices, their interaction with each other and with the magnetic field), is clear and the theory based on the Ginzburg–Landau equations was built before the creation of the Bardeen–Cooper–Schrieffer theory. In ceramic High Temperature Superconductors (HTSC), the theoretical description of these phenomena faces difficulties, which are associated with the cellular structure of the medium, when there are dielectric regions between the superconducting granules in contact. At the points of contact of the granules, Josephson contacts occur. Current states differ in their structure from those existing in conventional superconductors. The Ginzburg–Landau equations are not applicable in this situation. In this monograph, a model of granular HTSС is proposed, in which a system of equations for quantization of a fluxoid in cells is used as a mathematical basis for the description. This model is a cubic lattice consisting of superconducting wires, each connection of which contains one Josephson contact. The proposed mathematical approach allows us to study all the details of current configurations, such as the structures and energies of Meissner and vortex states, the nature of the interaction of vortices, possible distances between vortices, etc. Therefore, this approach is appropriate when analyzing the processes occurring in real HTSС.
