The article emphasizes the need to create universal, transdisciplinary methods of system analysis. Based on the study of the history of the development of the system approach, it is concluded that the main problem of creating a universal approach is the lack of a system-forming factor in the definition of the system. The synthesis of the methodological principles of holism and unicentrism allowed us to designate as a systemforming factor the order that determines the unity and integrity of the object of the system. The conclusion is made about the isomorphism of the system functions and the variability of the structure and parameters of the main function. It is shown how the methodological apparatus of transdisciplinarity-4 can be applied in the methodology of system analysis and design.
