В исследовании был изучен вопрос формирования социальной компетенции студентов посредством внеаудиторной деятельности. Перечень форм и направлений внеаудиторной деятельности позволил оценить ее роль в развитии социальной компетенции студентов. Необходимость в данном развитии обусловлена потребностью современного общества в социально активных членах, которые способны принимать ответственные решения и участвовать в социально значимой деятельности во благо других. В работе определяется значимость волонтерской деятельности и деятельности участников студенческих отрядов для формирования социальной компетенции. Освещена проблема развития творческих способностей и иноязычной коммуникативной компетенции студентов в рамках внеаудиторной деятельности на иностранном языке. Путем изучения и анализа педагогической и психологической литературы, систематизации, наблюдения и анкетирования были выделены особенности формирования качеств социальной компетентной личности. Отдельное внимание было уделено рассмотрению моделей социальной компетенции, выявлены ее компоненты. Представлены проекты, в реализации которых автор принимал участие для развития социальной компетенции, их анализ и результаты.

There is research into formation of students` social competence through extracurricular activities. The list of forms and directions of extracurricular activities allowed us to assess its role in the development of students` social competence. The necessity of this development is caused by the demand of the modern society for socially active members who are able to make responsible decisions and participate in socially important activities for the benefit of others. The research defines the importance of voluntary work and activities of student group members for the formation of social competence. It deals with the problem of creative skills development and foreign language communicative competence of students via extracurricular activities in a foreign language. Through the study and analysis of pedagogical and psychological literature, classification, observation and questionnaires features of the formation of a social competent person`s qualities were identified. Special attention was paid to consideration of social competence models, its components were described. Besides, the work contains the description of the projects in which the author participated and their significance for the development of social competence.
