Данная работа посвящена исследованию архетипических образов и символов на основе рассказов английской писательницы Дафны Дюморье. Анализ рассказов Дафны Дюморье раскрывает тесную связь символических значений выбранных нами объектов с их архетипами и позволяет увидеть глубину содержания рассказов. Актуальность исследования заключается в том, что архетипические образы и символы в литературе являются не до конца исследованными. Целью исследования является теоретическое и практическое исследование архетипических образов птиц, дерева, горы в сборнике рассказов «Яблоня» английской писательницы Дафны Дюморье. В данной работе мы используем следующие методы: метод реферирования теоретической литературы по проблематике, контекстуальный и интерпретационный методы.

The scientific paper is devoted to the study of the archetypic images and symbols of the birds, tree and mountain in the stories of British writer Daphne Du Maurier. The definition of an archetype is considered and the role of archetypes in a fictional text is defined. The analysis of the stories of Daphne Du Maurier reveals close connection of symbolic meaning of the objects with their archetypes and allows to see the depth of the content of the stories under analysis. The importance of the research comes out of insufficiency of researches devoted to archetypic images and symbols in modern literature. The practical value of the current paper involves the possibility of its further usage for more detailed study of the archetypic images and symbols in literary works.
