Annotation
Different types of ANNs known for their abilities of modeling were implemented to investigate the best type of ANN among the investigated types suitable for building the segment's kinematics models. Three different methods of solving the inverse kinematics model were investigated and compared in terms of accuracy and computational time in order to obtain the most efficient method for the soft manipulator. The conventional Jacobian transpose method as well as A non-linear optimization were implemented. FABRIK method was adapted to suit the soft manipulator. All models were integrated in Simulink environment for each approach. The results showed that the pose of the end effector of the soft continuum manipulator was able to track the desired pose with an acceptable accuracy and in a satisfactory time.
