This work is devoted to solving problems of engineering improvement of the site in the village "Peat" of the city of St. Petersburg. The work was performed in accordance with the assignment for landscaping and the requirements of current regulatory documents in construction. Recently, with an increase in the population of people and the trend of growth in the area of the cities, as well as the desire of people for solitude, there is a need to organize zones for individual housing construction. Such zones can serve as floodplains of small rivers. But the problem of these zones is the periodic flooding of the territory with short-term floods. The author has proposed and calculated a number of engineering measures to protect the area from flooding. Landscaped plot was located on the river Starozhilovkа.
