This work is devoted to the development of a design and calculation algorithm for light embankments on the weak soil base. Tasks that were solved during the study: 1. Analysis of existing structures, materials used, applied calculation algorithms, as well as analysis of foreign and domestic experience in the construction of lightweight embankments on weak soils. 2. Updating of existing calculation algorithms and constructive schemes of light embankments on weak soil bases. 3. Performing mathematical studies of the calculated algorithms, constructive schemes of lightweight embankments and recommendations. An analysis was made of the existing regulatory and educational literature, various technical articles and publications from which conclusions were drawn about the main characteristics of soft soils and the basic requirements for the construction of embankments on them; about light aggregates of the body of the embankment that meet the criteria of ecology, safety, accessibility and rationality of use in the body of the road embankment; about the construction requirements based on world experience in the construction of light embankments; about the main stages of the calculation. Using the best constructive solutions and taking into account world design experience, a design of a lightweight combined trapezoidal embankment using foam concrete and XPS blocks was developed and an algorithm for its calculation was developed, consisting of three main stages and two correction procedures. Using the modeling method, the structure and calculation algorithm of the developed embankment design were mathematically tested using the PLAXIS 2D software package, in which the structure of the structure was created and calculations were made. After a series of tests, design recommendations were made.
