This work considers the state and trends in the development of uninhabited submarines, their applications and design features. The analysis of aluminum alloys used in industry for manufacturing hull structures of ships, superstructures and submersible vehicles is presented. It is established that manufacture of uninhabited submersible vehicles requires a new high-strength alloy and semi-finished products mastered by the industry. High mechanical properties of 1933 high-strength aluminum alloy (σв ≥ 500 MPa, σ0,2 ≥ 380 MPa) along with other high physical and mechanical properties put it in line with high-strength heat-strengthened aluminum alloys used in aviation and space engineering. A pilot technology has been developed for manufacturing semi-finished products from 1933 high-strength heat-strengthened aluminium alloy with a nominal yield strength σ0,2= 380 MPa, . The semi-finished products (pressed profiles, forgings) were tested. Macrostructure, mechanical properties and heat treatment modes were investigated on pilot castings. On the basis of the received data the experimental technology of manufacturing, pressed and forged semi-finished products from alloy 1933 was made.
