The subject of the graduate qualification work is «Analysis of steady-state and transient modes in the 330/220 kV power supply system». The scheme of the system, the magnitude of the generation and load capacities, the length of the transmission lines are known. The choice of power equipment was made according to the results of calculating the normal and post-emergency states. Calculation of the steady state was done analytically and using RastrWin. The results obtained are incomparable, since the analytical calculation is approximate. The values of short-circuit currents at a given point of the circuit were calculat-ed by the method of symmetric components and in the EMTP ATP software package. The results matched, taking into account the errors introduced by the adopted simplifications. The dynamic stability of the system in the case of single-phase and three-phase short circuits has been investigated, the limiting time for breaking the short circuit has been determined. Parallel electric braking is considered as one of the ways to increase dynamic stability.
