This work is devoted to the development of a marine diesel internal combustion engine with a capacity of 850 kW, intended for installation on a high-speed boat. In the course of the work, the following tasks were solved: 1. Calculation of the working process of a diesel engine; 2. Analysis of forces and moments arising in the elements of the engine; 3. Analysis of engine balance; 4. Strength calculation of the elements of the crank mechanism; 5. Calculation of the engine pressurization system; 6. Development of drawings and engine layout diagrams. This work analyzes modern marine engines, calculates the working process using the Grinevetsky-Masing method, engine dynamics, strength of main parts, and pressurization system. Based on the calculations, the longitudinal and transverse sections of the engine are developed.
