The aim of the work is to justify the use of the geometry of the exhaust path, different from the standard design of the unit "Diffuser - Exhaust nozzle" with one-way discharge to reduce the coefficient of internal losses of the exhaust path. The theoretical aspects of the layout and design of the unit "Diffuser - Exhaust nozzle" of powerful gas turbine plants with free power turbine. Numerical simulation of four versions of the calculation model of the gas turbine plant exhaust path was carried out: the base version of the exhaust path, a version of the EP with the diffuser which has a cylindrical hub, a version of the construction with diagonal diffuser and a version of the exhaust path with circumferentially variable height of diffuser tract. The analysis of the results of a numerical experiment, the validation of the integrated aerodynamic parameters according to the results of an experimental study of the exhaust path of the basic design are carried out, and it is concluded that it is advisable to further study the non-standard version of the design of the exhaust path, both numerical and experimental.
