This work is devoted to the study of the influence of feminism and the Me Too movement on gender policy in the United States and China. The research set the following goals: 1. To study the differences in the formation of the feminist movement in the United States and China. 2. Determine the current state of the women's movement in the United States and China. 3. Highlight the changes that followed the #MeToo movement. 4. Study the regulatory legal acts in a given area. Based on the study, it was concluded that in the United States, due to the relevance of the feminist agenda and a strong feminist tradition, gender policy is subject to changes under the pressure of the movement. The #MeToo movement did not have a strong impact on the US legislative framework, but it managed to attract the attention of the general public to the problem of harassment in the workplace. In China, by contrast, since feminism has the status of the state and fully reflects the agenda of the Communist Party of China, the activities and influence of non-governmental feminist organizations are limited. Despite Internet censorship, repression, and a two - pronged response from the central Government, legislation has been amended to address sexual harassment in the workplace and in educational settings.
