This work is devoted to the exploration of emission matrices, which contain the information about the intensity of the fluorescence of amino acids. Tasks that were solved during development: 1. clearing the source data from Rayleigh and Raman scattering; 2. applying the principal component method to the data; 3. classification of data based on a heuristic parameter. The work is based on a comparison of the composition of samples obtained from the Arctic, Africa and Lake Baikal, by applying classical methods of processing EEM matrices to the data. As a result, the regions of amino acid detection were identified, and the the fluorescence intensities for each amino acid were compared. The principal component method identified two main components that contained basic information about the biochemical structure of samples from the region. The heuristic approach allowed us to compare the compositions of the samples of the regions for the balance of simple and complex organic matter.
