The subject of the graduate qualification work is "Numerical simulation of the motion of the neutron flux of the Globus-M2 tokamak". The given work is devoted to the construction of a numerical model of the motion of the neutron flux of the Globus-M2 tokamak and the analysis of the effect ofneutron scattering in the conditions of the experimental hall. The research set the following goals: 1. A review of the subject area, which includes consideration of issues related to modern thermonuclear energy and the method of numerical simulation on the interaction of neutrons with matter. 2. Numerical simulation of the free motion of the neutron radiation of the Globus-M2 tokamak. 3. Creation of a 3D model of the structural elements of the experiment carried out at the Globus-M2 tokamak, considering their spatial location. 4. Development of a numerical model of the motion of the neutron flux of the facility. 5. Verification of the developed simulation model by comparing the results of numerical simulation with the results of laboratory measurements. 6. Evaluation of the influence of the effect of neutron scattering under the conditions of the experimental hall on the magnitude of the measured signal and on the energy spectrum of the detected neutrons. The work was performed using Geant4, a platform for the simulation of the passage of elementary particles through matter using the Monte Carlo method. A numerical model of the motion of the neutron radiation of the facility was created in it and calculations of the intensity of the neutron flux and the energy spectrum of the detected neutrons, depending on the distance to the axis of the tokamak for various configurations of the experiment. In addition to Geant4, the SolidWorks 2020 automatic design system for building a 3D model of the structural elements of the experiment, Microsoft Excel software for graphical presentation of simulation results was used in this work. As a result of the analysis of the effect of neutron scattering in the conditions of the experimental hall, it was concluded that it was necessary to modernize the complex of neutron diagnostics of the Globus-M2 tokamak. The developed numerical model will significantly facilitate, reduce the cost and speed up the process of designing a new design of detectors, and in the future it can be used in other areas of research related to the study of plasma behavior.
