This work is devoted to the study of the molding processes of thermally expanded graphite powders obtained by various methods. Tasks that were solved during the study: 1. Analysis of the literature on the methods of obtaining, characteristics and use of TRG. 2. Development of the process of forming TRG powders obtained by various methods. 3. Research of technology of forming products from TRG powders for various fields. The experiments carried out focused on the possibility of producing thermally expanded graphite powder. Three powders were pressed at different pressures to investigate the dependence of density and porosity on the pressure applied to graphite presses. The process of rolling thermally expanded graphite powder into a tape was also tested and its density and porosity were measured. In addition, pressed filters made of thermally expanded graphite were tested to purify contaminated water containing engine oil, quartz sand and oxidized iron.
