The given work is devoted to study the methods of modeling the propagation of a radio signal indoors and to develop a methodology for conducting machine modeling before installing local security systems at the facility to increase the reliability of their functioning during the service life. The paper presents a comparison of various models of signal propagation in rooms. In the course of the work, an overview of the existing software was carried out, an explanation of the operation of the modeling tools, an operating radio system was assembled to conduct a comparative characteristic of the simulated and operating system. As a result of the simulation, the required average error of 5 dB was obtained. After the simulation, recommendations were made to improve the noise immunity of the radio system. Open educational resources and information search and analysis programs were used. Atoll and Ranplan automation (automated) development tools were used.
