Topic of the final qualification work: "Method for remote determination of the degree of irradiation of the Europa surface by X-ray and gamma spectroscopy." This work is devoted to modeling the irradiation of the ice surface of the satellite of Jupiter - Europa to determine the dose of radiation and assess the degree of its exposure to possible biomarkers on the surface of the satellite. Thus, the purpose of the work is to consider the possibility of remote determination of the degree of irradiation of Europas surface by X-ray and gamma-ray spectroscopy. The paper proposes a method for determining the dose of irradiation of subsurface ice layers by measuring the characteristic gamma lines of excited nuclei formed during the bombardment of the satellite surface with protons. The calculations were carried out using the Geant4 software package developed at CERN and used for a wide range of tasks. This software package is based on the principle of modeling the processes of interaction of energetic particles of any nature by the Monte Carlo method. As a result of the study, the following results were obtained: the X-ray spectroscopy method turned out to be ineffective, since the obtained characteristic lines turned out to be indistinguishable from the background obtained by the interaction of energetic particles with ice. The method of gamma spectroscopy made it possible to estimate the degree of irradiation of Europas surface ice at a depth of up to 10 cm. radiation dose promising in terms of biomarker detection.
