Данная работа посвящена выявлению образа Японии в китайской газете «Жэньминь жибао» в период с 2019 по 2021 гг., а также изучению феномена образа государства и его особенностей. Задачи, которые решались в ходе исследования: 1. раскрыть понятие образа государства; 2. определить факторы формирования образа государства; 3. выявить основные элементы образа государства; 4. выявить основные функции образа государства; 5. охарактеризовать газету «Жэньминь жибао» как источник информации о Японии; 6. раскрыть образ власти и её представителей как элемент образа Японии в китайской газете «Жэньминь жибао». Работа основана на анализе новостных статей, обнаруженных путём введения ключевого слова «Япония» в поисковой строке электронного архива китайской газеты «Жэньминь жибао». Для раскрытия образа японской власти и её представителей, как элемента образа Японии в целом, был применён метод контент-анализа. По результатам проведённой работы было установлено, что ввиду ухудшения отношений между двумя странами, образ японской власти и её официальных представителей постепенно ухудшался с течением времени: в 2019 году образ был оценен как исключительно положительный, в 2020 году – в целом положительный, в 2021 году – крайне негативный.

The given work is devoted to identifying the image of Japan in the Chinese newspaper «Peoples Daily» in the period from 2019 to 2021, as well as studying the phenomenon of the image of the state and its features. The research set the following goals: 1. to reveal the concept of the image of the state; 2. determine the factors of the formation of the image of the state; 3. identify the main elements of the image of the state; 4. identify the main functions of the image of the state; 5. describe the newspaper "Peoples Daily" as a source of information about Japan; 6. to reveal the image of the government and its representatives as an element of the image of Japan in the Chinese newspaper «Peoples Daily». The work is based on the analysis of news articles discovered by entering the keyword «Japan» in the search bar of the electronic archive of the Chinese newspaper «Peoples Daily». To reveal the image of the Japanese government and its representatives as an element of the image of Japan, the method of content analysis was applied. According to the results of the work carried out, it was found that due to the deterioration of relations between the two countries, the image of the Japanese government and its official representatives gradually deteriorated over time: in 2019, the image was assessed as extremely positive, in 2020 – generally positive, in 2021 – extremely negative.
