This work is devoted to study of influence the alloying elements on the structure and corrosion resistance of Incoloy 825 type alloys, and development of recommendations for optimizing the composition in order to increase corrosion resistance. This alloy has high strength and plastic characteristics, welds well and deforms in a cold state. The solid-solution hardening mechanism of this alloy allows the use of products made of it at temperatures up to 450℃ without reducing mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. As a result of the work, the influence of the main alloying elements on the structure and phase composition of the alloy after smelting and heat treatment was investigated, the optimal alloying scheme was determined at which maximum corrosion resistance is achieved. The process of smelting the alloy in an induction melting furnace has been developed, the sequence of introduction of alloying elements and the temperature regime of smelting at each stage before casting has been experimentally determined. The influence of the composition and structure of the alloy on the resistance to intercrystalline and pitting corrosion is investigated. The influence of the ratio Mo:W for resistance to intercrystalline corrosion was investigated. The influence of the ratio Ti:Nb for resistance to intercrystalline corrosion was investigated. The influence of Si and Mn content on the resistance to intercrystalline and pitting corrosion in various media has been investigated. The effect of microalloying with rare earth elements on the composition and morphology of nonmetallic inclusions, as well as on the resistance of the alloy to intercrystalline and pitting corrosion, has been studied. Recommendations have been developed for alloying and microalloying the Incoloy 825 alloy, which allow increasing the corrosion resistance to intercrystalline and pitting corrosion by more than 80%.
