In the course of the work, the literature was studied and a literary review was presented, in which the relevance of this topic was substantiated, as well as the application, principle of operation and test methods of porous composites were presented. A series of experiments on the selection of mixing technology and determination of the mass ratio of components to obtain a uniform volumetric distribution of corundum spheres in an aluminum matrix was carried out. The density, microstructure, mechanical properties and the nature of crack development for the obtained materials were investigated. During the experiments, the best results were achieved with the following characteristics: 1. The volume fraction of the components is 37% Al and 63% hollow corundum spheres (fraction 40-70mkm). 2. Mixing of the mixture - in isopropyl alcohol, followed by molding by slip casting. 3. Hot pressing of the workpiece produced according to the mode: Cold = 390MPa, Hot = 195Mpa, T = 680℃.
