Тема магистерской диссертации: «Исследование перспектив развития сферы обращения с отходами в приграничных регионах РФ и Финляндии». Объектом исследования являются предприятия сферы обращения с отходами, сосредоточенные в приграничных регионах России, к которым относятся Санкт-Петербург, Ленинградская область и Республика Карелия, и Финляндии. Предмет исследования – организационно-экономические отношения и взаимосвязи между предприятиями сферы обращения с отходами.Целью исследования является определение перспектив развития трансграничного кластера в сфере обращения с отходами, в рамках которого организации-участники со стороны РФ и Финляндии смогут взаимодополнять друг друга и усиливать свои конкурентные преимущества, совместно используя имеющиеся знания, технологии, опыт и ресурсы. В соответствии с поставленными в работе задачами был проведен сравнительный анализ сферы обращения с отходами в РФ и Финляндии, который позволил выявить как точки соприкосновения, так и существенные различия стран в данной области. При помощи анкетирования были выявлены основные факторы, оказывающие влияние на установление успешного трансграничного сотрудничества между МСП двух стран. Был проведен анализ пространственного расположения сферы обращения с отходами в РФ. По результатам сравнительного анализа концентрации сферы обращения с отходами в приграничных регионах РФ и Финляндии были выявлены сильные и слабые стороны регионов в данной области относительно друг друга. С учетом полученных результатов были выделены основные направления развития трансграничного кластера в сфере обращения с отходами. На основании всех предшествующих этапов исследования был разработан алгоритм исследования потенциальных трансграничных кластеров.

Topic of the master's thesis: "Research of the prospects for the development of waste management industry in the border regions of the Russian Federation and Finland". The object of the study is waste management enterprises concentrated in the border regions of Russia, which include St. Petersburg, the Leningrad Region and the Republic of Karelia, and Finland. The subject of the study is the relationship and interconnections between enterprises in the waste management industry. The purpose of the study is to determine the prospects for the development of the cross-border cluster in the waste management industry, within which the participating organizations from the Russian Federation and Finland will be able to complement each other and strengthen their competitive advantages by sharing their knowledge, technologies, experience and resources.In accordance with the tasks set in the study, a comparative analysis of the waste management industry in the Russian Federation and Finland was carried out, which made it possible to identify both points of contact and significant differences between countries in this area. By conducting a survey, the main factors influencing the establishment of successful cross-border cooperation between SMEs of the two countries were identified. An analysis was made of the spatial location of the waste management industry in the Russian Federation. Based on the results of a comparative analysis of the concentration of waste management industry in the border regions of the Russian Federation and Finland, the strengths and weaknesses of the regions in this area were identified. Considering the results obtained, the main directions for the development of a cross-border cluster in the waste management industry were identified. Based on all the previous stages of the study, an algorithm for potential cross-border cluster research was developed.
