In the presented work, the task of implementing the numerical solution of the Navier-Stokes system of equations of an incompressible viscous fluid in a static two-dimensional formulation by the finite volume method of the SIMPLE scheme based on a semi-explicit time integration scheme is performed. In this work, a numerical method is developed using an iterative process to satisfy the equations describing the problem at each integration step. The algorithm was implemented in the MATLAB numerical package. In the course of the work, the SIMPLE algorithm for solving the system of Navier-Stokes equations was mastered, the pressure and velocity fields for the flow in the initial section of the flat channel, as well as the profile of the horizontal velocity component along the central line of the channel, were obtained. The results obtained were compared with the results obtained while working with the Fluent module of the ANSYS software system. A high degree of similarity of results was noted, which indicates the correct implementation of the considered algorithm.
