AWR Design Environment.
Methods of phase control in the microwave range and digital phase shifter circuits are considered. A performance comparison of schemes that provide specified phase discretizations over a range of frequencies is presented. A study is carried out to modify the geometry of the Lange coupler to minimize the size of the reflector based phase shifter circuit. The topology of a seven-bit microwave phase shifter based on domestic GaAs pHEMT technology is developed. The final circuit of the seven-bit microwave phase shifter has the following characteristics: frequency range from 7 to 11 GHz, phase change step is 2,8 degrees, insertion loss less than 8 dB, compression point at 0,1 dB level more than 20 dBm, chip area less than 8.5 sq. mm. Open educational resources and information search and analysis programs were used. Automation (automated) development tools such as AWR Design Environment was used. The AWR Design Environment software has been applied (tested).
