The purpose of this work is to find a way to create the text of an abstract of a license agreement that can reflect important legal aspects of the original text in a language accessible to a person without legal training. As part of this work, the following tasks will be performed: 1) Study scientific, technical and legal literature on the topic of the paper. 2) Explore the development path of summarization technology. 3) Explore methods, approaches, and existing methods and tools of summarization. 4) Define the concept of “licensing agreement”. 5) Characterize license agreements and describe the relationship of ordinary users with this type of document. 6) Study existing methods and tools of summarization. 7) Experimentally determine the most promising approach to summarizing license agreements. 8) Assess the quality of automatic summarization of license agreements. Research methods: 1) Basic general scientific research methods were used, as well as questionnaires. Main results of the work: 1) It has been proven that automatic summarization of license agreements allows one to convey the main meaning of the document in a volume acceptable for viewing. Extractive summarization tools have been tested. The advantages and disadvantages of the tools used in this study are revealed.
